A team of Israeli hospital in Beer Sheva has just published a study to determine whether the use of hypnosis could have a positive impact during the embryo transfer.
A control group followed the standard protocol transfer while a second group receiving hypnosis with reimplantation.
The main results consist in the comparison of clinical pregnancy and implantation between the two groups. 52 Clinical pregnancies 98 cycles (53,1%) a rate of implantation 28% were found in the hypnosis group, while the control group obtained a pregnancy rate of 29/96 (whether 30,2 %) for an implantation rate of 14,4 %. At the same time, the overall IVF program pregnancy was 32 % over the same period.
In conclusion, the original study suggests that the use of hypnosis during embryo transfer can significantly improve the results of IVF treatment with transfer in terms of increased implantation and clinical pregnancy rates. Moreover, it seems that the patients experienced more positive.
